Dalian Imported Corns Much Less in Jan-Aug 2017

According to Dalian Customs statistics, in January-August 2017, Dalian imported corns 26.1 tons, a decrease of 99.9% year-on-year (YOY); worth CNY 340,000, down 99.9% YOY; average import price at 13,000 yuan per ton, up 9.3 times YOY; all imported by foreign-invested enterprises.
Import Characteristics:
(1) In the first eight months, processing trade mode imported 25.7 tons of corns, a decrease of 99.9%, accounting for 98.5% of the total import; other trade modes imported 0.4 ton.
(2) The corns from Peru reached 25.7 tons, a decrease of 84.7%, accounting for 98.5% of the total; corns from the EU reached 0.4 ton, no record last year.
