Wine Import to Zhejiang Up YOY in First Half 2017


According to Hangzhou Customs statistics, in the first half 2017, Zhejiang Province imported grape wine 25.822 million liters, up 29.5% year-on-year (YOY); worth RMB 560 million yuan, up 42.6% YOY; average import price at 21.5 yuan per liter, up 10.1% YOY.

Import Characteristics:

(1) Rapid growth in import quantity, with average price upward.
Since 2017, the wine import to Zhejiang has been rising on the whole, with average price going up. This June, the import reached 5.587 million liters, up 48.2% YOY and up 26.1% from this May; average price was 22.2 yuan per liter, up 14.6% YOY and up 3% from May.

(2) Mainly imported from EU, with more from Australia.
From January to June, Zhejiang imported 18.053 million liters from the EU, an increase of 21.1% YOY, accounting for 69.9% of the total import; imported 4.196 million liters from Australia, up 1.2 times YOY, accounting for 16.2%; imported 1.442 million liters from Chile, up 2.2%, accounting for 5.6%; imported 1.595 million liters from the "Belt and Road" countries, up 38% YOY.
