According to the statistics of Ningbo Customs, Ningbo Port imported 30790000 pieces of LCD board in the first ten months with US$ 2.44 billion in value, 5 times and 3.9 times respectively over the same period of the previous year. The average import price was US$ 79.2 / piece, down 18.2% from the same period of the previous year. The processing trade accounted for over 90%. The import volume was 29630000 pieces, 4.8 times over the same period of the previous year, accounting for 96.2% of the total import volume. Taiwan is the key export origin, as our import volume reached 30.26 million pieces, 5.3 times over the same period of the previous year, accounting for 98.3% of the total import volume. Driven forward by the fast development of economy these years and Beijing Olympic Games, the demand for large-size LCD board has soared , driving forward the growth of LCD board import accordingly.
