Seed cotton procurement falls sharply, CCA

The Cotton Production Monitoring Project Group of China Cotton Association investigates seed-cotton harvest and sale in 73 county of 11 major cotton producing province.

The result reveals that national cotton harvest end basicly, but because of price drop, seed cotton procurement fall sharply.

By November 15, 98.2% of seed cotton has been picked, up by 8.9% from last year, sold 41.2%, down by 30.6% from last year.

The average price of seed cotton is 4.69 yuan per kilogram, dowm by 23.3% form last year.

China Cotton Association will concentrate on protecting the fundamental interests of members and the area of cotton and make contributions to the sound development of China's area of cotton.
