On November 16, the Sino-France wine culture promotion was held in Shanghai. Nearly 300 wine agents, hotels and supermarkets from 30 cities (including Shanghai, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other provinces) took part in it. Visitors tasted nearly 500 varieties of wines from dozens of AOC wine regions.
In recent years, Chinese wine consumption kept on increasing. Especially, Chinese wine imports increased dramatically (117%). The experts said that imported wines had a large potential in Chinese wine market. In addition, wine tax reduced. Many foreign countries were attracted. The famous wine regions of France targeted Chinese wine market. Southern wine regions also tried to enter Chinese wine market. During the promotion, Southern wine regions' network platform and management attracted many vintners. And they would like to cooperate with Chinese companies to explore Chinese wine market.
