Source from the website of the National Bureau of Statistics of China in November, total retail sales of consumer goods stood at RMB979.08b, up by 20.8% year-on-year.
In terms of regions, retail sales of urban consumer goods amounted to RMB652.80b, up by 20.3% year-on-year; retail sales at or below the country level RMB326.28b, up by 21.8%.
From the industries, retail sales of the wholesale and retail industry reached RMB822.62b, up by 20.6% year-on-year; retail sales of accommodation and catering industries RMB137.66b, up by 25.1%; retail sales of other industries RMB18.80b, up by 3.0%.
From the categories of commodities, retail sales of categories of commodities for eating, wearing and using in the wholesale and retail industry above norm increased 13.8%, 24.1% and 12.5% respectively. Among them, grain and oil categories increased 5.9%, meat poultry and egg categories 13.9%, clothes category 25.4%, cultural office category 12.7%, physical education and entertainment category 4.6%, daily commodity category 11.1%, home appliance and audio and visual material category 7.5%, furniture category 15.7%, cosmetics category 16.3%, gold, silver and jewelry category 31.1%, automobile category 7.7%, oil and its manufacture 21.2%, while building and decoration materials category declined 32.6% and communication equipment category 4.8%.
From January to November, the accumulative total sales of consumer goods stood at RMB9.77592t, up by 21.9% year-on-year.
