2nd Aachen-Dresden to take place in Dresden

Themed ??The Chain of Innovation??, the recently established Aachen-Dresden International Textile Conference is on the path to become one of the most important textile meetings in Europe and a platform for the international textile industry.
The alliance of the renowned co-organizing institutes together their international collaboration networks form a unique competence base of this new conference in the areas of textile chemistry & materials research on the one hand and textile technology & engineering on the other hand. The organizers are particularly supported by representatives of companies and associations during program preparation. Especially mentioned shall be the Textile Machinery Association of VDMA, the Forschungskuratorium Textil e. V. (textile research board), as well as Euratex, the European association of the textile and apparel industry. With the Aachen-Dresden International Textile Conference the organizers would like to show innovations & visions for the areas of textile machinery, textile industry, textile finishing, and textile chemistry. It is furthermore intended to support the application-oriented product development of companies in order to aid successful marketing of their products. The Aachen-Dresden International Textile Conference took place for the first time on November, 29-30, 2007. More than 500 participants with strong participation from industry met for knowledge exchange. The large number of participants from European countries as well as from overseas shall be especially emphasized. The 2nd ??Aachen-Dresden?? will take place in Dresden on December, 04-05, 2008. Provided will be topical lectures regarding innovations and visions in the following fields: polymer processing in textile technology, functional materials from nano scale to macro scale, protective textiles as well as seminal developments for textile machinery. We look forward to an exciting and inspiring conference.
