The first global outsourcing summit co-sponsored by the Tianjin municipal government, Asia Pacific CEO Association and the International Outsourcing Center opened in the Binhai New Area on the 11th December. More than 500 people attended the summit, including leaders from Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Science and Technology and other ministries, presidents from the world's top 500 enterprises and outsourcing services leading enterprises, representatives from international economic institutions at home and abroad. Dai Xianglong, Tianjin Mayor, and Huang Xingguo, executive vice mayor attended the meeting and make a opening address.
This meeting's theme is "the world's second round of economic integration - the international outsourcing." At the meeting, the leaders of relevant state ministries, international outsourcing expert and well-known business leaders made speech about outsourcing theories, policies, strategies, as well as outsourcing practices. Round table meeting on "International outsourcing cities strategic positioning" and "corporate outsourcing of brand strategy and capital operation" has been held during the meeting. The participators have made a discussion on international development trend of outsourcing, multinational companies outsourcing talent strategy, the development of China's international strategy.
Services outsourcing has become an important form of transferring international service industry. According to the World authoritative institutions, the total international services outsourcing amount will reach 1.2 trillion US dollars in2007. The global outsourcing market will be increase at a rate of 30 to 40 percent in the next few years. Tianjin is one of the six national software export base. Last year, Tianjin is authorized as "China services outsourcing base city," by the State Ministry of Information Industry, Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology. Besides, Tianjin Economic and Technological Development Zone has also been identified as "China services Packet training centre. " Currently, Tianjin's services outsourcing industry has formed a cluster with the booming of new technology industrial park and Development Zon. At end of November this year, the number of services outsourcing companies has reached 71 with more than 5,000 employees.
