Departments of commercial administration (tussah silk office) and agriculture (farming and stock raising/farming and forestry) offices (commission/bureau) in all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities:
For purposes of enhancing macro guidance on tussah silk industry and keeping a balanced demand and supply, guiding program on distribution of silkworm egg, producing of silkworm egg and tussah silk is now issued to you for implementation. With analysis of the production of tussah silk in 2005 and the trend of consumption in both international and domestic markets in 2006, we decide to properly increase the tussah silk output in 2006, namely output of silkworm -----650, 000 ton; output of tussah silk-----92, 000 ton; relevant silkworm egg for distribution----18, 359,000 boxes (please refer to appendix for details). All related departments should attach great importance to stability of order of silkworm purchase and well carry out work of prevention so as to safeguard the interests of farmers, promote virtuous operation of enterprises and ensure healthy and sustainable development of tussah silk industry.
