Announcement No.19, 2006 of the General Administration of Customs of the People?

For purpose of regulating administration on import of whole sets of bulk parts, related matters on cognizance of import of whole sets of bulk parts with license of whole sets of bulk parts are now announced as follows:
1. Whole sets of bulk parts of automobiles refer to automobile assemblies (systems) such as bodywork assembly (the vehicle doors should be separated from the body), engine assembly, gear-box assembly (or power assembly made up of engine and gear-box), front and back bridges, vehicle frame assembly, steering system and brake system that are imported by means of independent assembly (system) or bulk parts of independent assembly (system). 2. Customs should strictly go through formalities of classification, taxation and examination and approval for those with license of whole sets of bulk parts in accordance with the declaration situations and regulations of Article No.1 of this announcement. This announcement takes effect as from the day of release. The import of whole sets of bulk parts that have been delivered before release of this announcement and make declaration before Jan 1, 2006 will be implemented in accordance with the former regulations.
