[Anti-dumping and Countervailing Measures] Ministry of Commerce on Initiation of

Ministry of Commerce decides to initiate an anti-dumping investigationagainst the imported GC/MS originating from Japan. Relevant matters are now announced as follows:

The period of investigation is Jan 1, 2007 to Dec 31, 2007 and the industry injury investigation period is Jan 1, 2005 to Dec 31, 2007.

The scope of the investigation is imported GC/MS originating from Japan (whether assembled or unassembled, complete or incomplete), and  certain main parts be used to assemble GC/MS thereof, namely the gas chromatography systems, the ion source, the mass analyzer, the detector, the vacuum system and the computer system, and any combination thereof. GC/MS is under items 90272011, 90275000, 90278019 and 90278099 in PRC Customs Import Tariff Code.

This investigation starts on Jun 5, 2008, and usually will be ended before Jun 5, 2009. It may be prolonged to Dec 5, 2009 in case of particularity.
