According to Yao Jian, spokesman of Ministry of Commerce, on 7th Feb. 2009, Europe Union decided to terminate anti-dumping investigation on hot dip galvanized steel imported form China. China part highly appreciates on the determination that based on objective fact made by Europe Union.

“Europe union is China’s biggest trading partner as well as technology supplying partner while China is the second trading partner and the fourth exporting market of Europe Union. Facing the current situation, both parts should hold open and cooperative attitude to develop bilateral investment& trade and jointly embrace global challenge”, said Yao Jian.
Europe Commission initiated an anti-dumping investigation on dip galvanized steel imported form China in December 2007, with a total amount of USD 1.206 Billion and more than 200 domestic enterprises involving in case. It’s said that it’s the largest anti-dumping case since Europe Union initiated anti-dumping investigation on China in 1979.
