Sharjah Port Throughput up 25% in 2008

The total volume of containers handled by ports in the emirate of Sharjah stood at 2.4 million TEUs in 2008, a 25 per cent growth over 2007, according to AME Info.
The increase was mainly attributed to the Khorfakkan Container Terminal (KCT), which handled 2.11 million TEUs.
