Application Formality:
1. Routine concentrated examination:
Fill in
Shanghai Measurement Assessing Staff Examination Application Form. If the
application is initial application, the applicant should also submit education
certificate and photocopies. If the application is for incremental item or
counterchecking examination, the applicant should submit Measurement Assessing
Staff Certificate and photocopies. If the application is for makeup
examinations, the applicant should submit the photocopy of last test score. For
the initial application, the applicant should also provide photocopy of the
industrial and commercial registration certificate, and apply to local county
quality and technical supervising bureau. After the application is accepted, the
applicant shall make payment to Shanghai Measurement Association for the
examination fee.
2. Emergency examination:
Submit a written Emergency
Examination Application Report, and fill in Shanghai Measurement Assessing Staff
Emergency Examination Application Form. For initial application, the applicant
should also submit education certificate and photocopies. For incremental item
or counterchecking examination, the applicant should submit Measurement
Assessing Staff Certificate and photocopies. For makeup examination, he
applicant should submit the photocopy of last test score. For the initial
application, the applicant should also provide photocopy of the industrial and
commercial registration certificate, and apply to Measurement Department of
Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervising Bureau. After the application is
accepted, the applicant shall make payment to Shanghai Measurement Association
for the examination fee.

Time Limit for Processing:
No more than 90 working days from accepting
the application to issuing the certificate (delay of the enterprise and
restructuring time are not included). If the measurement assessing result
indicates a necessity to restructure, the applying enterprise is allowed to
restructure within 1 month.
Qualified Application Subject:
1. education background beyond technical
secondary school (or senior high school)
2. familiar with measurement laws
and regulations;
3. more than half of year's working experience in the
assessing item position and master all the operation skills for the assessing
item. (Measurement assessing staff in legal measuring institution needs a
working experience above one year.)
