Processing Authority: Special Equipment Supervising Department of Shanghai Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau

Application Formality:

1. juridical person qualification with business license in line with the business scope;

2. has professional technicians and skilled workers that meet the requirements of the qualification, and are able to take the tasks of installing and maintenance of special equipment;

3. has constructing facilities, tools, and testing equipments which guarantee the construction quality;

4. has quality guarantee system and relevant managing mechanism;

5. has certain amount of registered capital and constructing achievements within the applied business scope.

Processing Procedures:

1. the relevant authorities issue the notice of certificate issuing (changing)

2. the eligible enterprise makes application to the relevant authorities with the following documents:

(1) requisition for recognizing the qualification of special equipment installing (reconstructing) and maintenance;

(2) business license (copies)

(3) other documents required by laws and regulations

3. the relevant authorities issue Notice of Acceptance to the eligible enterprise after auditing the applying documents

4. the relevant authorities entrust appraising institutions to appraise under the Detailed Rules of Qualification Recognition on Special Equipment Installing, Reconstructing, and Maintenance.

1. Standard: RMB 1,200 per application for elevator and lift machine

2. For new applications: the appraising work will be finished within 6 months after the Notice of Acceptance is issued.
