13th round of testing shows newly produced liquid milk meets melamine restriction

AQSIQ conducted the 13th round of sample tests on liquid milk products supplied in the markets across the country, and the results showed that all products met the temporary restrictions on melamine in milk products. The tests covered 477 batches of liquid milk products, including yogurt, pasteurized milk and sterilized milk, under 66 brands in 22 major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Changchun, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Changsha, Shenzhen and Xi'an. So far, AQSIQ has tested 6,274 batches of liquid milk products from 138 brands produced after Sept. 14 in 34 cities, and the level of melamine in all products was below the limit. All stores and supermarkets are required to post the lists of qualified businesses and their products and set up a special counter to ensure sufficient supplies of quality and safe milk products. Detailed lists can be found on AQSIQ's official website.
