AQSIQ has carried out the 7th round of tests on infant formula and other milk powder products made after Sept. 14 and supplied in the markets across the country, and all products met the temporary restrictions on melamine in milk products. The tests covered 105 batches of infant formula from 20 brands in 10 provinces. These brands included Yili and Gucheng, among others, and all met the limit on melamine content in infant formula. Samples from 161 batches of other milk powder products under 52 brands, including Yili and Gucheng, in 15 provinces also showed compliance with the related restriction. So far, AQSIQ has tested 804 batches of infant formula from 66 brands in 17 provinces and 1126 batches of other milk powder products from 161 brands in 25 provinces, and the level of melamine in all products was below the set limit. All stores and supermarkets are required to post the lists of qualified businesses and their products and ensure sufficient supplies of quality and safe milk products.
