11th inspection shows liquid milk meets melamine restriction

AQSIQ conducted the 11th round of testing on liquid milk products supplied in the markets across the country, and the results showed that all products met the temporary restrictions on melamine in milk products. The tests covered 550 batches of liquid milk products, including yogurt, pasteurized milk and sterilized milk, under 57 brands in 23 major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Shenyang, Taiyuan, Hangzhou, Nanchang, Hefei, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Foshan. So far, AQSIQ has tested 5,253 batches of liquid milk products from 132 brands produced after Sept. 14 in 34 cities, and the level of melamine in all products was below the limit. All stores and supermarkets are required to post the lists of qualified businesses and their products, and set dedicated sector to ensure sufficient supplies of quality and safe milk products.
