9th inspection shows newly produced liquid milk meets melamine restriction

AQSIQ has carried out the 9th round of testing on liquid milk products supplied in the markets across the country, and results showed that all products met the temporary restrictions on melamine in milk products. The tests covered 532 batches of liquid milk products, including yogurt, pasteurized milk and sterilized milk, under 69 brands in 23 major cities such as Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Changchun, Qingdao, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Wuhai, Changsha, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Xi'an. So far, AQSIQ has tested 4,213 batches of liquid milk products from 131 brands produced after Sept. 14 in the markets of 34 cities, and the level of melamine in all products was below the limit. All stores and supermarkets are required to post the lists of qualified businesses and their products and ensure adequate supplies of quality and safe milk products. Detailed lists can be found on AQSIQ's official website.
