China and Korea sign two cooperation agreements

On the invitation of Korean Minister of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Chang Tae-pyong, Minister of AQSIQ Li Changjiang with Chinese quality inspection delegation had visited Korea from August 25 to 28 and reached complete success.

August 25, Li Changjiang and Chang Tae-pyong signed together Administrative Agreement on Import and Export Aquatic Products between AQSIQ and Korean Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on the signing ceremony of cooperation documents between the governments of both countries held in South Korean presidential office Cheong Wa Dae. Li Changjiang and Chang Tae-pyong also official signed Quarantine and Sanitary Agreement of AQSIQ and Korean Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

Li Changjiang also attended Cooperation Forum of Sino-Korea World Expo and related signing ceremony held jointly by CCIC, Organizing Committee for Shanghai World Expo and Korea organizations.

During the visit, Li Changjiang held talks with Koran Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Yu Myung-hwan on strengthening Sino-Korean cooperation, accelerating bilateral trade and promoting the establishment of China-Korea-Japan quality inspection cooperation and reached agreement. Meanwhile, Li Changjiang visited Korean airline and port entry-exit inspection and quarantine work, attended China-Japan-Korea Renewable Resource and Used Mechanical and Electrical Products Seminar and gave speech, held discussion with CCIC General Manager Meng Qingfa and CCIC branches in Korea and Japan on enlarging business, strengthening management and extending influence, and gave clear guidance.

The visit of Li Changjinag to Korean contributed to national leaders visit fruits and China-Korea strategic cooperation partnership, deepened quality inspection bilateral cooperation of the two countries, promoted China-Japan quality inspection cooperation, and positively promoted bilateral trade of China and Korea.
