Canada?? Biggest Meat Processing Plant Recalls 200 kinds of Meat Products
According to Canada official declaration, among the 26 patients with confirmed Lee Proteus infection, 12 patients died since last week. It is said that meat products stained by germ results in lee Proteus infection. As one of the Canada?? biggest meat processing plant, Maple Leaf Food Company recalled over 200 kinds of meat products, which has become one of the largest scale recalls by far.
According to Mark, director of Canada Food Inspection Bureau, the 26 patients with conformed diagnosis are mostly concentrated in Ontario Province and 6 cases are died directly from the Lee Proteus infection. Now Canada Public Health Bureau is investigating whether the other 6 cases were died from that.
