19 Olympic pointed medical labs gain national accreditation

July 11, work summary and launching ceremony of Olympic pointed medical labs gaining national accreditation was held in Beijing. 19 Olympic pointed labs in Chinese PLA General Hospital, Beijing Tongren Hospital, Beijing Hospital and Xiehe Hospital gained accreditation by CNAS.
In order to further improve the quality and safety of medical labs in Beijing, to accelerate medical lab inspection results mutual recognition and internationalization, and to finish the inspection task of Olympic medical health guarantee, from the end of 2006 to the beginning of 2007, Beijing Municipal Health Bureau and CNAS Secretariat together initiated and implemented 'Special Plan for 2008 Beijing Olympic Pointed Medical Labs National Accreditation?? After a year?? hard work, under the attention of CNCA, Ministry of Health, Chinese Medical Association, and BOCOG, with the direct promotion and close cooperation of Beijing Municipal Health Bureau and CNAS, the Plan achieved encouraging results. So far, 19 medical labs have gained national accreditation.
