Beijing Olympic Inspection and Quarantine Emergency Plan drilling held in Beijin

On June 27, Beijing Inspection and Quarantine Bureau held Beijing Olympic Inspection and Quarantine Emergency Plan Drilling in Beijing International Airport. Leaders from AQSIQ, BOCOG, Emergency Management Office of State Council, General Administration of Customs, and Ministry of Heath and so on visited the drilling and gave guidance on site. Vice Minister of AQSIQ Zhi Shuping gave important speech, and Vice Minister of AQSIQ Wei Chuanzhong made concluding speech. Zhi shuping said it was quite necessary to organize emergency plan drilling. The drilling warned us dangers in our real life, and improved the emergency operating ability of front inspection and quarantine workers. It was a good drilling which not only examined the practical fighting ability of related workers but also further mobilized the people. Zhi Shuping pointed out that the organization of emergency plan drilling was successful, and the drilling was strict, careful and close to real one. He emphasized that only the success of real ones and of Olympic was true, which required more ability. In order to ensure the success of inspection and quarantine during Olympics, we should strengthen emergency plan management, enhance the sense of worry, emergency and responsibility, further perfect and get familiar with the plan, attach importance to drilling, clarify and implement responsibilities.

Wei Chuanzhong made concluding speech after the drilling. He pointed out that the drilling was successful and gave congratulations. The drilling examined the emergency ability of inspection and quarantine workers, strengthened the sense of responsibility, showed the related spirit and checked the weak chains of work. The drilling was of practical significance to the steady advancement of Olympic inspection and quarantine work.

Wei Chuanzhong expressed that Olympic inspection and quarantine service work was of great responsibility and we must do our best. We should do well all our work during Olympics, ensure the implementation of benefiting policies and convenient measures, pay high attention to inspection and quarantine work on Olympic import and export food safety, strengthen the inspection and quarantine work on Olympic entry-exit people, especially strengthen inspection and quarantine emergency handling ability during Olympics, and try hard to create favorable Olympic inspection and quarantine media environment.
