AQSIQ draws up work plan for safe Olympics

AQSIQ held a working meeting on strengthening comprehensive management to help ensure a safe Olympics, June 12. Present at the meeting were officers in charge of comprehensive management and traffic safety from the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China(CNCA), Standardization Administration of China(SAC), and direct affiliates of AQSIQ.

At the meeting, AQSIQ?? General Office deployed the administration?? work plan on the campaign and set up the leading group. Great efforts will be made to carry out strict management, intensify monitoring, rule out major incidents, and minimize small problems. In addition, medias including local area network and electronic screen will be used and knowledge competitions organized to publicize the theme of safe Olympics.

According to the plan, the campaign, from June to September, includes the following three stages: rectification and improvement, evaluation and efforts build-up, and stringent control. All staff members will be mobilized to support security work to ensure a smooth and successful Olympics.

Officers from the Government Offices Administration of the State Council and Beijing Traffic Management Bureau Haidian Branch were invited to deliver lectures on the security management and traffic situation in Beijing at present, and to introduce various measures taken by Beijing Municipal People?? Government to ensure Olympic safety.
