China's accreditation covers 39 industries in 15 fields

According to CNAS, so far the accreditation of CNAS has covered 39 industries in 15 fields under 3 categories of certification bodies, labs and examination bodies, with the accreditation number and scale advanced in the world. The number of quality management system accreditation bodies accredited by CNAS, the accreditation certification with accreditation marks issued by product certification units and labs accredited by CNAS is top in the world, and the number of examination bodies accredited is also among top class in Asia and Pacific areas.
Accreditation is indispensable for related certifications such as compulsory products certification, organic product certification, good agricultural practices certification and food safety management system certification, and for examining and checking technology and management ability of related units. It is a basic method for management system certification technology and management ability trust of quality, environment, career health and safety.
In international society, at present, our accreditation results are effective in 39 countries or economic units signing certification bodies accreditation international mutual recognition agreement and 47 countries or economic units signing testing and calibration lab accreditation international mutual recognition agreement. China also signs examination bodies multilateral mutual recognition agreements with over 10 countries in Asia and Pacific areas. For example, testing reports and certifications accredited by China have become necessary credence for importing products in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Africa, Kenya, and Turkey, with which the products can be cleared directly without anymore tests.
Besides, China also signs standard substance producer accreditation mutual recognition agreement and medical lab accreditation mutual recognition agreement in the first group, becoming the one signing most mutual accreditation agreements in ILAC and APLAC.
