AQSIQ dispatches technical service teams to quake-hit areas

The first batch of technical service teams for inspection and testing, health and epidemic prevention, and special equipment safety, organized by AQSIQ, set out from different provinces to quake-hit areas in Sichuan Province to support relief efforts there, May 17.
The team for inspection and testing, equipped with testing vehicles for food, construction materials and special equipment, and related facilities, is to provide on-the-spot service for quake-affected people; the team for health and epidemic prevention is to fulfill the mission of sterilization and disinfection; the team for special equipment safety is to provide technical guidance for risk investigation and repairing of special devices.
All of the teams have started work after arriving in the quake zones on May 18.
Based on the analysis of the damage to special equipment in quake-hit areas, AQSIQ has also outlined specific guiding plan to provide effective and practical technical guidance for risk elimination and repair work.
