AQSIQ Emergency Leading Group for Earthquake Rescue and Relief holds the second meeting

On the afternoon of May 14, AQSIQ Emergency Leading Group for Earthquake Rescue Relief held the second meeting to listen to work reports of all departments on quake-hit rescue and to deploy the work for next period. Vice Minister of AQSIQ and AQSIQ Emergency Leading Group leader Zhi Shuping hosted the meeting. Vice Minister of AQSIQ and Deputy Group leader of AQSIQ Emergency Leading Group Pu Changcheng attended the meeting.

The meeting gave full recognition to Earthquake Rescue Relief measures taken by all departments, and required all departments should provide information support for further decision-making by getting in time the latest information of earthquake disasters and related rescue and relief, especially the damage to people in inspection quality system, to materials and to equipments in quake-hit areas. All departments should do well the following 7 aspects of work to further consummate emergency rescue plan and rescue measures:

1. Do well the monitor work on products supplied to quake-hit areas especially on food products. Strengthen quality supervision on able producing enterprises in quake-hit areas to ensure products quality and safety, and provide free product quality inspection service for quake-hit areas.

2. Do well the inspection and monitor work on domestic aid materials. Ensure the quality of aid materials according to the principle of ??nspection first, fast and free??

3. Do well the inspection and quarantine and monitor work on international aid materials. Carry out inspection and quarantine for free on entry aid materials. Clear customs fast and ensure quality and safety as well, preventing illegal trades in the name of donation.

4. Do well the coordination, inspection and quarantine work on food products supplied to Hong Kong and Macaw. The food products supplied to Hong Kong and Macaw from Sichuan province were reduced because of earthquake, and related departments should help Sichuan province to ensure the quality of foods supplied to Hong Kong and Macaw, and at the same time actively coordinate other areas to add food products supplied to Hong Kong and Macaw.

5. Do well the safety monitor work on special equipments. The key work was checking, repairing and resuming special equipments in quake-hit areas.

6. Do well the supervision and law-executing work of important construction materials. Large amounts of construction materials were needed for reconstruction after earthquake, so the quality of important construction materials such as steel bar and cement should be ensured, and illegal quality behaviors should be beaten.

7. Do well security guarding of quality inspection system. Pay attention to the safety of people and properties in quality inspection system when serving quake-hit areas.
