.Time Limit for Quarantine Inspection Declaration of Entry Commodities:
The specified limitation of inspection declaration shall be different because of different varieties, characteristics, the valid time limit o claim and the valid time limit of quality guarantee of commodities.?because different commodities have different varieties, characteristics, the valid time limit of claim and the valid time limit of quality guarantee/warranty.
1. On the arrival of import commodities, the applicants must apply to the commodity inspection authorities for quality inspection and appraisal.20 days prior to the expiration of the validity date of claim.
2. With respect to import animals and plants, their products or other quarantine objects, the applicants shall apply for quarantine inspection before or on their entry.
(1) Whoever imports breeding stock and poultry, or their semen and embryos shall apply for quarantine inspection thirty (30) days prior to their entry;
(2) Whoever imports plant seeds, seedlings or other propagating materials shall apply for quarantine inspection seven (7) days prior to their entry;
(3) Whoever imports other animals shall apply for quarantine inspection fifteen (15) days prior to their entry;
(4) With respect to the packaging materials or breeding/padding materials of animal or plant nature on their entry, the applicants shall timely apply for quarantine inspection.
(5) With respect to a transit of animals and plants, their products or other quarantine objects through the Chinese territory, the applicants shall apply for quarantine inspection on these commodities entry.
3. On arrival at a port of incoming containers, goods and waste and used articles, the carrier or his agent or the owner shall apply to the health and quarantine organization for sanitary inspection. Those that pass the quarantine inspection after a treatment of disinfection, deratting, disinfecting or other necessary sanitary measures are allowed to enter the country.

.Time Limit for Quarantine Inspection Declaration of Exit Commodities:
1. The applicants shall apply for inspection declaration of exit commodities 7 days prior to the day of making a customs declaration or shipment. With regard to some special commodities, which need a long period for inspection and quarantine, more time shall be required.
2. With respect to the exit means of transport and the staff, the person in charge or their agency shall apply to the port inspection and quarantine authorities for inspection before their exit.
3. With respect to export animals subject to pre-export quarantine, the applicants shall apply for initial inspection declaration 60 days prior to their exit and inspection declaration 7 days prior to their quarantine.
