MOL's HK-based consolidator to handle US furniture giant

MOL's Consolidation Service Ltd (MCS) is to be WS Badcock's consolidator to cover its China, Vietnam and Malaysia network this month, the company announced.

Hong Kong-based MCS will supply the US furniture retailer "Badcock Home Furniture & More" with Starlink, its inventory control system that can track cargo at stock keeping unit levels from delivery to destination.

Said Badcock vice president Greg Brinkman: "Your company has successfully demonstrated the great match fit between our two companies. We have complete confidence in MCS and in the team of experts you have assembled on the ground throughout Asia."

MSC started its buyer's consolidator service in 2003 and its network now covers southeast and south Asia. It has a regional control office in Singapore and owns other operations offices in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
