Ford has chosen CEVA Logistics to operate the movement of parts in the production processes for the carmaker's engine and transmission factory in Taubat the Brazilian state of S Paulo. The agreement expands upon a previous partnership between CEVA and Ford The expansion in the scope of services provided by CEVA has the goal of achieving a higher integration between the activities of reception, storage and provisioning of the production lines, Luiz Carlos Silva, Ford's material planning and logistics manager, said in a statement. The new contract includes incorporated activities for part transportation in our manufacturing process. CEVA is now responsible for the totality of our intra-logistics. CEVA also provides services for the Ford in Australia, Philippines, New Zealand, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.
