CEVA Logistics said it has been chosen to operate a regional distribution center for BMW in the Polish special economic zone town of Slubice, close to the border with Germany. The 161,000-square-foot facility will handle the receipt and warehousing of incoming goods and quality control for automobile spares. The storage of small quantities of dangerous goods will also be administered in accordance with the legal provisions. Products retained in the center will be supplied to automobile dealers in northeastern Germany. Other logistics services are to expand at various levels in 2010.
