COSCON and Evergreen to Restructure CPG Service

To catch up with the blooming market in the Middle East area, COSCON and Evergreen will restructure the existing jointly-operated CPG service by splitting it into two independent loops - China Persian Gulf service (CPG1) and China Arabian Persian Gulf service (CPG2), starting from this June. Five 3400TEU container ships of COSCON will be deployed in the former loop while six container ships of the same size of Evergreen will be deployed in the latter one.

The CPG1 service will cover the following ports: Shanghai-Ningbo-Yantian-Singapore-Jebel Ali-Banda Abbas-Karachi-Singapore-Shanghai.

The CPG2 service will covet the following ports: Qingdao-Shanghai-Ningbo-Yantian-Hong Kong-Tanjung Pelepas-Jebel Ali-Dammam-Nhava Sheva-Singapore-Kaohsiung-Qingdao.

Two companies will keep their closely-cooperative relationship by slots sharing between CPG1&CPG2.

With the introducing of the new services, COSCON and Evergreen will upgrade the service between the Far East and the Middle East by offering more sufficient coverage, more frequent shipping schedule and less transit time.
