China Straits India service to close

15 Dec 08 - The China Straits India service operated jointly by Samudera, Evergreen and Yang Ming is to be closed (CSI - 3679). It was ensured with five ships of 1,500-2,000 teu. While Evergreen and Yang Ming can serve the China-Straits-Mumbai trade with their deep sea services, Samudera is continuing to serve it through its existing slot allocation on the India-China service (ICS / RCI - 3648) operated by Hapag-Lloyd, RCL, TSK and HMM and through the Singapore-India-Pakistan service it maintains in partnership with MOL (KEX - 3681).(Source : Correspondent / Alphaliner)
