Special Bill Customer Update

[2008-12-23 16:56:24]

OCEAN B/L NUMBER:
Evergreen will provide our Customers with the Ocean Master Bill of Lading number(s) at the Port of Loading
DOCUMENTATION RECEIPT (cut-off):
Carrier publishes documentation cut-offs locally; however, we have a MINIMUM standard cut-off time:

48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE VESSELS ARRIVAL (ETA) IN THE PORT OF LOADING.

Please contact your local Evergreen Office for exact details.
AMS TRANSMISSION CUT OFF:
Carrier will transmit the AMS Cargo  Declaration to U.S. Customs 24-hours prior to the ETA of the vessel in the Port of Load. This is a mandatory requirement for compliance with the U.S. Customs & Border Protection, 24-Hour Rule.
OCEAN MASTER BILLS:
Evergreen Marine (SCAC = EISU) Ocean Carrier Master Bills will be transmitted by Carrier to AMS under the new Special  Bill function. This includes Master Bills of Lading issued to direct AMS filers(NVOCC’s).
USA IMPORT ENTRY/USA CUSTOMS RELEASE:
The USA Import Customs Entry will take place against the Evergreen’s Master Ocean Bills of Lading and no longer against the NVOCC Bill of Lading.
USA TERMINAL (CARRIER) RELEASE:
The USA terminal release will be against the Evergreen’s Master Ocean Bill  of Lading ONLY.

This will be much simpler with the implementation of the “Special Bill”.
USA INBONDS:
Carrier haulage, USA inland, “inbond moves” will be transmitted to AMS by Evergreen America Corp., against the Evergreen’s Ocean Master Bill of Lading. Transport to the USA inland, bonded destination  will be under Carrier’s Custodial Bond.
SUBSEQUENT INBOND:
AMS will permit subsequent inbond movement to be filed in AMS by an AMS participant who has achieved Paperless Master Inbond status with U.S. Customs.
