CMA CGM launches Asia-US Gulf service

French line CMA CGM began operations at Mobile Container Terminal (MCT) in the Gulf of Mexico with the arrival of its PEX 3 service linking Asia to the US Gulf and East Coast.
MCT is a joint venture between APM Terminals Americas and Terminal Link, a subsidiary of CMA CGM. Centrally located, it will provide customers with access to global networks covering all possible trade routes to and from the Port of Mobile.
"We are very pleased with the opening of Mobile Container Terminal which will allow us to expand our product offerings to our customers," said Alain Schmid, deputy vice-president North America Lines.
