Chongqing holds industrial design and innovation report meeting

On September 2, the report meeting on industrial design and innovation development was held in Chongqing . Deputy Commissioner of State Intellectual Property Office ( SIPO ) Li Yuguang gave a thematic report entitled "Function of Industrial Design in Globalization Competition". Li Yuguang pointed out that industrial design has become a trump in contemporary economic competition. The government should actively guide the industrial design innovation, develop new products, and use IP system to protect innovation achievements. The report meeting aimed to enhance the level of Chongqing's industrial design, promote the integration of design creativity and manufacturing advantages and inform enterprises with the trends and forefront ideas of industrial designs. At the meeting, principal of relevant department of SIPO also explained related provisions on industrial design after the third amendment of the Patent Law.
