China, Singapore pledge to advance Suzhou park with IPRs

The China-Singapore Joint Coordination Council for Suzhou Industrial Park held the 10th meeting on September 4 in Tianjin.  Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan and Singapore Vice Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng co-chaired the meeting.  The consensus is to speed up innovation and create more IPR-laden Park companies and brands.

Six requirements are provided for the Park, which will celebrate its 15th birthday next year.  The meeting demanded that the Park should fully implement the scientific concept of development, and strive to create new development advantages.  First, change its manner of development and upgrade its industrial structure.  Second, innovate and bring more IPR-laden companies and brands to life.  Third, make an energy saving, environment friendly Park that supports cyclic economy and ecological industry.  Fourth, accelerate governance innovation for better market, legal and service environment.  Fifth, open further.  Sixth, construct a harmonious society to safeguard and improve livelihood.  The two sides will make concerted efforts to promote the construction of the Park and expand the cooperation achievements. 中新就培育自主知识产权达成共识

本报讯  9月4日，苏州工业园区中新联合协调理事会第十次会议在天津举行。会议由中共中央政治局委员、国务院副总理王岐山和新加坡副总理黄根成共同主持。会议指出，园区要加快自主创新，努力培育更多拥有自主知识产权的企业和品牌。

会议指出，明年是苏州工业园区成立15周年，园区要站在新的起点上，深入贯彻落实科学发展观，努力增创园区发展新优势。一要加快转变经济发展方式，大力推进产业升级；二要加快自主创新，努力培育更多拥有自主知识产权的企业和品牌；三要加快建设资源节约型、环境友好型园区，大力发展循环经济和生态产业；四要加快体制机制创新，营造良好的市场环境、法治环境和服务环境；五要加快拓展对外开放的广度和深度，全面提高开放型经济水平；六要加快构建和谐社会，着力保障和改善民生。会议要求，中新双方要继续齐心协力推进苏州工业园区建设，扩大合作成果。（汪玮玮）
