NPC reads patent law amendment, invites comments

The Forth Session of the Standing Committee of the 11th National People's Congress (NPC) performed its first read of the amendment of the Patent Law (draft) recently.  Following the instructions of a NPC chair meeting, which promotes an open and extensive comment-soliciting process, the Standing Committee has published the draft and its explanatory notes.  The public are invited to comment on the draft through October 10, 2008.

This Forth Session was held from August 25 to 29 in Beijing.  In the morning of August 27, the draft was discussed in panels.  After all the agenda items are done on August 29, Chair Wu Bangguo said, "This is the first read of the draft.  Committee members and observers tabled many valuable comments and suggestions.  The Law Committee shall work on the draft based on these comments for deliberation in future session. 全国人大初次审议专利法修正案草案

已将草案及草案说明公布，向社会公开征集意见

本报讯  日前，十一届全国人大常委会第四次会议对《中华人民共和国专利法修正案（草案）》等进行了初次审议。根据十一届全国人大常委会委员长会议关于全国人大常委会审议的法律草案原则上都予以公开、广泛征求意见的决定精神，全国人大常委会已公布专利法修正案草案及草案说明等，并向社会公开征集意见，截止日为10月10日。

8月25日至29日，十一届全国人大常委会第四次会议在京举行。８月27日上午，会议分组审议了专利法修正案草案。８月29日，完成各项议程后，全国人大常委会委员长吴邦国发表讲话。他说，会议初次审议了专利法修正草案等法律草案。审议中，常委会组成人员和列席会议的同志提出了许多很好的修改意见和建议。会后，法律委员会要会同有关方面在深入研究各方面意见的基础上，认真修改这些法律草案，提请以后的常委会会议审议。（李 卓）
