Technology innovation helps shape a perfect Olympics

The Games of the XXIX Olympiad is coming to a successful conclusion at the National Stadium on the night of August 24.  International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Jacques Rogge said, "These were truly exceptional Games...16 glorious days which we will cherish forever."  The Beijing Games materialized the concepts of "Green Olympics, High-tech Olympics and People's Olympics",leaving a huge and rich legacy both in culture and sport. The Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, entering into Olympic history branded as exceptional, are a grand celebration of sport, a grand celebration of peace and a grand celebration of friendship.

The 16 days have witnessed superb athletic performances and sportsmanship. Over ten thousands of athletes from 204 countries and regions have competed in the Games in the Olympic spirit. 科技创新助北京奥运会画上完美句号

本报讯  8月24日，北京奥运会闭幕式在国家体育场隆重举行，国际奥委会主席罗格在闭幕式上指出，“这是一届真正的无与伦比的奥运会，16个光辉的日子将在我们心中永远珍藏”。“科技奥运、绿色奥运、人文奥运”的理念得到完美诠释，高科技、人性化、多元化且极具中国特色的北京奥运会以“无与伦比”之评价镌刻奥运史册。

北京奥运会在奥运史上书写了辉煌的一页。来自204个国家和地区的1万余名运动员在过去16天里挑战极限、攀越新高，刷新了38项世界纪录和85项奥运会纪录，多个国家和地区实现了奥运会金牌和奖牌零的突破。（张海志  薛 飞）
