IOC official praises China anti-piracy efforts

In a meeting with Liu Binjie, Minister of the General Administration of Press and Publication, Hain Verbruggen, chairman of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s Coordination Commission for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, praised China's anti-piracy efforts.

China's efforts in anti-piracy work laid the foundation for the success of the Beijing Olympic Games and set a good example for the global anti-piracy work for the Olympics, said Verbruggen.

Liu said his agency along with Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and State Administration of Radio Film and Television set up a anti-piracy unit for the Olympics.  As of now, more than 200 complaints of illegal broadcasting have been processed and 97 websites have been sanctioned.

国际奥委会高度评价北京奥运会反盗版工作

本报讯  记者从新闻出版总署获悉，第二十九届奥运会协调委员会主席海因?维尔布鲁根日前在会见新闻出版总署署长、国家版权局局长柳斌杰时，代表国际奥委会对中国奥运版权保护工作给予了高度评价。

海因?维尔布鲁根认为，中国政府出色的反盗版工作为北京奥运会成功举办奠定了基础，也为全球奥运反盗版工作树立了榜样。

柳斌杰表示，国家版权局、工业和信息化部、广电总局等相关部门成立了奥运反盗版工作组，整合各方资源，投入很大精力，建立了快速反应机制。截至目前，共处理投诉200起，并对97家网站进行了处理。（姚文平）
