Patent filings soar 30% in first half

According to the latest SIPO statistics, the Chinese patent authority received 345,569 patent applications in the first half, up 28.5%; 290,208 of which were filed by Chinese users, up 34.1% and taking up 84% of the total; 132,088, 96,827 and 116,654 were for invention, utility model and design respectively, up 26.6%, 29.6% and 29.8%, taking up 38.2%, 28% and 33.8%. 

SIPO also granted 191,530 patents, up 14.2%; 163,827 of which were to domestic filers, up 15.2%; 41,752, 78,917 and 70,861 of which were for invention, utility model and design respectively, up 30.3%, 21.4% and 0.2%, taking up 21.8%, 41.2% and 37%.

Analysts believe another wave of patent applications may surface with the effects on innovation upgrade brought by the enactment of the Outline of the National IP Strategy.  (by Liu Xiaobin)

上半年中国受理专利申请同比增长近三成

本报讯  中国国家知识产权局最新统计数据显示：今年上半年，国家知识产权局共受理专利申请34.5569万件，同比增长28.5％。其中，国内申请29.0208万件，同比增长34.1％，占总量的84％；发明、实用新型和外观设计专利申请分别为13.2088万件、9.6827万件和11.6654万件，同比增长分别为26.6％、29.6％和29.8％，分别占总量的38.2％、28％和33.8％。

今年上半年，中国国家知识产权局共授予专利权19.153万件，同比增长14.2％。其中，国内专利授权16.3827万件，同比增长15.2％;发明、实用新型和外观设计专利授权量分别为4.1752万件、7.8917万件和7.0861万件，同比增长分别为30.3％、21.4％和0.2％，占授权总量的比重分别为21.8％、41.2％和37％。

业内人士分析认为，随着《国家知识产权战略纲要》的颁布，中国知识产权创造能力的不断提升，中国专利申请增长开始进入新一轮提速阶段。（刘晓斌）
