Academy of Sciences to share resources with SIPO

The Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) concluded a cooperative protocol with SIPO in Beijing on July 3. 

Under the protocol, the two organizations will start from free swapping of documentation and information resources with CAS offering a science documentation database, and SIPO sharing databases of Chinese Patent Documentation Abstracts, Patent Full-Text, and English Patent Abstracts of World Major Patent Authorities.  CAS plans to develop an IPR information service platform, which will be accredited into SIPO's national IPR information service system.  Other cooperative items are joint strategic analysis and research of interested projects, sharing of training resources and updating each other on latest domestic and international IPR developments, supporting the other's IPR-related projects upon request.  The term of the protocol is preliminarily set at three years. 中科院与中国国家知识产权局签订合作议定书

本报讯  7月3日，中国科学院与中国国家知识产权局工作合作议定书签字仪式在京举行，明确了双方合作内容。

据悉，双方的主要合作将从文献信息资源共享开始，中科院向国家知识产权局免费提供资助建立的科学文献数据库，国家知识产权局向中科院免费提供中国专利文摘数据库和专利全文数据库、世界主要国家和组织的专利英文摘要数据库。中科院还将成立中国科学院知识产权信息服务平台，国家知识产权局将其纳入全国知识产权信息服务体系。同时，双方还将合作开展战略分析研究及相关工作，共享培训资源，及时交流双方知识产权工作进展和国内外知识产权发展态势，并根据对方需求支持参与对方组织的其他知识产权工作项目。该议定书期限暂定为3年。（刘阳子）
