Chengdu honored first IP Model Cith

Chengdu added a new title on November 21, National IP Model City.  "Chengdu paces the country in testing new IP tasks and setting examples for others to follow.  Their unique measures and proven experiences are worth promoted to other parts of the country," praised SIPO Deputy Commissioner Zhang Qin at the ceremony granting the title.  He stressed SIPO pinned great hope on Chengdu's leadership in this category by granting the first such title to it.  

On the basis testing new IP tasks in multiple cities, SIPO started the program in setting up such model cities.  Thirty-five cities are candidates for the title.

From January to September, Chengdu filed 10,336 patent applications and obtained 4,886 patents, up 66.31% and 33.64% respectively.(by Wu Hui)

首个知识产权工作示范城市成都挂牌

本报讯　11月21日，国家知识产权工作示范城市授牌仪式在成都隆重举行。“成都市在知识产权试点工作和示范创建工作中一直都走在全国的前列，其特色鲜明、经验突出，值得在全国范围内推广。”国家知识产权局副局长张勤对该市的知识产权工作给予了高度评价。他表示，将“国家知识产权工作示范城市”称号率先授予成都市，希望成都能争当示范城市的排头兵。

据了解，2005年国家知识产权局在城市知识产权试点工作的基础上，适时启动了国家知识产权示范城市创建工作。目前，全国已有35个知识产权示范城市创建市。

据介绍，今年1月至9月，成都市专利申请量达1.0336万件，专利授权量达4886件，分别比去年同期增长66.31%和33.64%。（吴 辉）
