In its recent circular on enhanced measures for trying criminal cases, the Supreme People’s Court demanded courts of all layers to ensure quality and efficiency of criminal trials and to steadfastly advance their trial reform while specifically calling heavier jabs to land on criminal activities in manufacturing and selling products either counterfeit or with inferior quality, smuggling and infringing IPRs.
