On August 2, the 10th Session of Guangdong-Hong Kong Joint Conference for Cooperation was held in Hong Kong. After the session, in the presence of Donald Tsang, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, and Huang Huahua, Governor of Guangdong Province, Henry Tang, HK Chief Secretary for Administration and Tang Bingquan, Guangdong Vice Governor, representatives from both sides signed six agreements, including the Agreement on Deepening the Implementation of CEPA to Jointly Promote Cooperation in Service Industry Between Guangdong and Hong Kong and the 2007-2008 Cooperation Agreement on Intellectual Property Between Guangdong and Hong Kong. This was the first ever IP cooperation agreement signed by the two neighboring areas.
