On August 26, 2010, the anti-dumping authority of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry of India issued the final ruling of anti-dumping mid-term review on bias tyres for bus and lorries/trucks originating in China and Thailand, proposing to extend the period of anti-dumping duty for Chinese enterprises and change the anti-dumping duty rate to USD 2.87 per kilogram, the dumping margin of Chinese enterprises responding to the proceeding was 116.67%.
According to the anti-dumping authority, the dumped products caused damage to the domestic industry, and the anti-dumping duty levied at present is insufficient to offset the damage.
Finally, the anti-dumping authority changed the minimum limit for Chinese exports to USD 1.64 per ton.
As per the final ruling, each stakeholder may lodge an appeal to Customs & Taxation Court of Appeal on this ruling.
