India Safeguard Duty on Import Sodium Nitrite

On September 17, India made a safeguard final ruling on imported sodium nitrite under HS Code 28341010:

For the investigated period, the surged import of sodium nitrite caused severe injury or injurious threat to India's domestic industry, so a safeguard measure should be taken for one year and three months, with the ad valorem safeguard duty at 30% for the first year and at 28% for three months of the second year.

In April, India started the safeguard investigation, mainly on the imports from China and the EU.
