[2010-01-21 15:55:02]
Recently, Wu Xiaoqiu, assistant director of the Financial Securities Research Institute of Renmin University of China, said in a forum that stamp duty will remain unchanged within the decade, while the interest rates will not be raised in the next two months to respond the market rumors that there will be another new trend of changes in stamp duty.
Wu Xiaoqiu remarked that the policy focus of China's capital market in 2010 will be on supply policies rather than demand policies, including the so-called adjustment tax and thorough investigation of bank credit funds into the stock market. Overall, capital market development policies will not change, but if the market goes up further, it will balance the market supply and demand mainly through the expansion of the supply.
To increase stamp duty is a major policy, he believes that the stamp duty will remain unchanged in ten-year.
