China Halts Applications to Open New Tungsten, Antimony, Rare Earth Mines

China will stop accepting applications for new tungsten, antimony and rare earth mines until June 30, 2011, the Ministry of Land and Resources said in a statement on its Web site on March 15.
The statement didn't say when the halt began.
