First Import of 3C Products to be Restricted as of June 1, 2010

As of June 1, 2010, enterprises which import the first 28 kinds of products with China Compulsory Certification (3C products) such as air-conditioners, electromagnetic ranges, range hoods, and baby carriages, shall fill in corresponding 3C information during the import inspection declaration for customs clearance.
According to the Dong Guan Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine of China, as of the next month, it will lay down restrictions on the first 28 kinds of products with China Compulsory Certification. To import these products, relevant restricted codes (HS Codes) shall be provided first. It reminds relevant enterprises that when importing the 3C certified products, they shall be clear whether the HS Code is under the first restrictions and get the 3C certificate as well as the code for certification exemption ready in advance. In addition, keep an eye on the information update as the second restrictions on 628 HS Codes are about to be in full operation.
